As we reported earlier today, the paperwork seeking a recall of Mayor Vince Gray and D.C. Council Chair Kwame Brown was filed this morning. Below you can see the paperwork for yourself, including the reasons for the recall, located on the last page of each filing.

The paperwork was sent over to Gray and Brown today, who will each have 10 days to file a response. Their response will be published alongside the reasons for the recall on the nominating petitions that then have to be signed by over 45,000 registered voters in 180 days to get the measures on to the ballot.

Needless to say, it’s quite the monumental undertaking. The reasoning expressed by Frederick Butler, who is behind the effort, is surprisingly brief, limited to accusing them both of “unethical behavior.”
