If you were like me and somewhat torn on whether or not it’s worth the time, money and likely emotional hurt of seeing Axl Rose’s newly formulated Guns N’ Roses at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, your dithering could well have cost you.

Tickets to the February 23 show went on sale last Friday, and they seem to have gone quickly. So if you’re really itching to go see Rose and band dig up some Gn’R classics, you’re going to have shell out a good deal more. As of today, the cheapest you’ll get a ticket on StubHub is $169, far above the $85 that Live Nation was charging. (With fees included, the final price was $96.) Craigslist is no better — single tickets seem to be hovering in the $190 range.

For that money, I would need an assurance that they’d play the “Use Your Illusion” trilogy of “November Rain,” “Estranged” and “Don’t Cry” and that Slash would play the “Estranged” guitar solo while walking on water as he did in the video. Anything less isn’t worth my time or money.
