Photo by MarcellinaAs we wrote yesterday, Alexandria’s Port City Brewing Company has been fighting to save 13,000 gallons of beer after it lost power last weekend. Despite the challenges, the brewers aren’t sitting around moping, though—they’re throwing a party.
Today the brewery is hosting a Pint Party that had originally been scheduled for July 1, according to the company’s Tumblr:
We are still struggling to get back up and running when we get our full electricity back.
We have managed to get a generator to give us enough juice to keep our glycol chiller and cold room running.
So let’s have a party!
We will have our Pint Party tomorrow, July 3rd, (which is a bonus midweek Friday because of the Wednesday holiday.) We will ‘borrow’ enough juice from the generator to run our keg boxes and Justin Trawick’s amps (but not the a/c! Sorry)
We will open from 3-9 pm, serve pints, flights and sell beer for the July 4th holiday. Justin Trawick will play from 3:30-5:30.
Tell everyone!
The brewery is located at 3950 Wheeler Avenue in Alexandria.
