Who says time travel isn’t possible? For a brief moment last night, in the dying moments of D.C. United’s crucial home match-up with the Columbus Crew, RFK Stadium became the eardrum-piercing, bleacher-shaking fortress that it used to be. Lewis Neal’s 91st-minute goal sent United’s first sellout crowd of the season into a frenzy and put the team back in the playoffs for the first time in half a decade.

“It was like the old days,” United Head Coach Ben Olsen said after the match. “I don’t like to bring up the old days very often, but the feeling in that building felt like the good old days here.”

We’ll have a full match report and photos on Monday—but for now, just enjoy Lewis Neal’s playoff-clinching strike.
