Modern rap is forever indebted to Public Enemy. Chuck D, Flavor Flav and turntablist Terminator X are legends not only for their expert flows and beats mixing stories of the street with political messages, but also for their ferocious productions. The group is on their Hip Hop Gods tour hitting the 9:30 Club tonight, so today’s Song of the Day is one of their biggest singles from my favorite PE album, It Takes a Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back: “Don’t Believe The Hype.”
