The D.C. Council is back at it for another marathon legislative session in which it will attempt to sort through its fat backlog of bills and resolutions that have been stacking up all year. And just as two weeks ago, when the Council took the entire day to plow through some 80 bills, today’s agenda is nearly as long.

To pass the time, though, inhabitants of Room 500 of the John A. Wilson Building are playing some legislative bingo. Only, in this case, the game is called “Mendo,” after the shorthand nickname of the Council chairman. And in today’s edition, DCist is a square on the board.

Anyone reading this post can cross off the square reading “DCist Posts About the Meeting.” Yeah, yeah, there will probably be something more substantial later, but in the mean time, color it in, and, if it completes a row or column, feel free to jump up and shout “MENDO!” right in the middle of a legislative meeting. Also, because some of us are watching this session on Channel 13, make sure you do a funny dance, too.

Some other media made today’s sheet, including NBC4 reporter Tom Sherwood, whose mere presence is enough to merit a square. And if DC Watch’s Dorothy Brizill is in the Wilson Building, be sure to notice if she’s wearing a hat.
