You just don’t cross fans of The Hobbit, it seems.
Last week Ben wrote a critical review of Peter Jackson’s new take on the classic J.R. Tolkien tale, opining that “disastrous visuals” pretty much ruined what could otherwise have been a good movie. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course, and we’d think that most people would get that.
Not one Hobbit fan, though, who didn’t just disagree with Ben, but also cancelled their DCist subscription, so to speak: “I completely disagree with your review of the new Hobbit movie, which leads me to discredit your website entirely. I’ll be blocking your site from popping up among the results in my future Google searches,” they wrote.
Well, then.
