Your august legislators fought valiantly this morning to ensure that D.C. residents could enjoy the upcoming presidential inauguration. Oh, wait—that’s not what happened. A few reporters that attended the D.C. Council’s monthly breakfast tweeted that some legislators complained loudly about lack of tickets to the president’s swearing-in and parking restrictions that might (gasp!) force them to ride Metro to the Wilson Building to view the parade.
Should this be a surprise? Given the ruckus they’ve raised over tickets for everything from baseball games to a Lady Gaga concert, not at all.
