A man was shot and killed near 17th and L Streets NW early this morning, NBC4 reports:

The victim was shot multiple times shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday—after witnesses say an altercation broke out in a nearby club around closing time and spilled out into the street.

It happened at 17th and L streets NW, near the Farragut North Metro station.

Witnesses reported that the scuffle involved two groups of five to six men each.

According to police the victim was shot multiple times inside his own car, and was declared dead after being transported to a nearby hospital. Police are on the lookout for a black BMW with chrome wheels.
