A D.C. police officer was grazed in the head by a bullet Wednesday in the 800 block of Barnaby Street Southeast, according to authorities.

An MPD spokesperson said the officer is conscious and breathing. The suspect involved in the incident sustained life-threatening injuries, and is unconscious and not breathing. Gunfire was exchanged.
