All the stories today are about how Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is buying The Washington Post for $250 million. But, wait! That sum doesn’t just cover the acquisition of The Washington Post Company’s flagship newspapers, it also includes a few other publications, specifically, the other daily newspapers the Post Company owns.

Bezos is also taking control of The Gazette Newspapers, Southern Maryland Newspapers, Fairfax County Times, El Tiempo Latino, Greater Washington Publishing, and, perhaps most visibly, the Express free daily tabloid that the Post shoves on Metro riders every morning. And just how did Express play the big transaction?

Well done, Express.
