There’s no way this should be funny, but we here at DCist found ourselves having a good ‘ol laugh over this: Members of Congress reading mean, nasty tweets about themselves on video.

Borrowing a page from Jimmy Kimmel’s Celebrities Read Mean Tweets series, Now This News’ D.C. bureau recently sat down with several members of Congress and had them read mean tweets about themselves on camera. The results are much funnier than they should be.

Come for Rep. Paul Ryan, stay for Sen. Claire McCaskill saying that she “sucks a pig’s ass.”
