Via Instacart.Same-hour grocery delivery service Instacart will now bring food and other items from Costco to all of D.C. and parts of Maryland and Virginia.
In less than a month, the on-demand service has expanded from just Harris Teeter to include Whole Foods and Costco. No, you don’t need to membership to receive food from the big-box store. The delivery area has also been expanded to include parts of Maryland, including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring and Takoma Park, and it will also now deliver to Alexandria, Va.
“We listen to consumer demand, and it was a great time to expand our D.C. area to include some of Maryland’s major metro areas so those consumers can reap the benefits of same-day grocery delivery,” Instacart founder and CEO Apoorva Mehta said in a release.
Instacart requires a minimum purchase of $10. Two-hour delivery starts at $3.99, while one-hour delivery costs $14.99. Instacart delivers between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m, and deliveries can be placed through their website or mobile app.
