Muriel Bowser will deliver her first “State of the District” address as mayor next week.
The address, which will take place on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at The Lincoln Theatre, “will serve as an opportunity for Mayor Bowser to address the residents of the District and conclude the Mayor’s Pathways to the Middle Class tour,” a release states.
Earlier today, Bowser a new job-training program aimed at putting more residents on the “pathway to the middle class.” The Learn Earn Advance Prosper job training academy will help residents train for jobs in the D.C. government’s in-demand areas while “allowing individuals to earn wages, accumulate work experience, and obtain stackable credentials.”
