Police have closed the 900 block of 15th Street NW while they investigate reports of a suspicious package in McPherson Square, according to MPD spokesman Sean Hickman.

Previously, part of K Street was shut down too, but that has reopened, Hickman said. Bystanders are reporting a chaotic traffic scene around the area.
