A man, who said he is friends with the artist who painted the Bill Cosby mural at Ben’s Chili Bowl, took it upon himself yesterday to remove the rogue Kim Jong-un sticker covering the comedian’s face.

Ben’s owners have publicly refused to revoke their longstanding offer that Cosby eats free in the wake of accusations from dozens of women that the comedian drugged and then raped them. Calls for Cosby’s likeness to come down from the side of their iconic building have similarly gone unheeded until an artist, who goes by ‘Smear Leader,’ took matters into his own hands.

A sticker of the North Korean leader’s grinning visage briefly had Washingtonians debating if that was actually an improvement on the smiling depiction of Cosby.

But it didn’t last long.

Kevin Irvin, also an artist who goes by the name Jazirock, decided it needed to come down. “I know the original artist who painted Bill so I thought it was disrespectful on Aneocons work, so I just pulled it down,” Irvin told WJLA.

While the owners of Ben’s have been silent on the affair, Irvin said they were grateful for his effot: “I just talked to the owner on the phone and she said thank you, and let him know that it’s a community thing that nobody told you to do it. I guess she’s impressed that nobody told someone to do it, and I did it on my own accord to remove it.”
