Public schools are closed today, and a decision about whether or not they will reopen tomorrow is still forthcoming. But DCPS has opened 10 buildings to provide nourishment to kids who might not otherwise get it.

“We recognized that when our schools are closed, many of our students don’t eat,” said Chancellor of DC Public Schools Kaya Henderson.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., students and their families can get breakfast and lunch at the following locations:

  • Anacostia High School (1601 16th Street SE)
  • Ballou High School (3401 4th Street SE)
  • Brookland Middle School (1150 Michigan Avenue NE)
