Just when you thought it was safe to scout the best places to drink outside, the National Weather Service reports snow in the forecast this weekend. That’s right, on Sunday—the first day of spring—there’s a seventy percent chance of morning precipitation in the form of snow and rain.

Snow will likely fall before 8 a.m. and there’s a 40 percent chance it’ll fall again in the evening. It won’t pile up, though. According to Storm Team4, we should only see accumulation on grassy areas.

The blast of wintry weather shouldn’t come as a complete surprise. Last year, the D.C. area welcomed the season with a dusty coating as well. The city also had a trace of snow on March 21, 2013. But the last times it really stuck were on March 20, 1990 and March 21, 1988—both days saw 0.4 inches.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 41 and low around 32, according to NWS. For the rest of the week, there’s no white (precipitation) in sight.
