For nearly a year, the Smithsonian National Zoo has kept us abreast on the happenings of its youngest Giant Panda—from his first time experiencing snow to his tree climbing adventures. And yesterday, the zoo released another panda story: Bei Bei being sprayed with water and loving it. He likes playing in the hose when workers are cleaning, the zoo says.

Last month, after zookeeper Laurie Thompson finished Bei Bei’s daily training session, she announced that the zoo is planning a birthday celebration for three of its pandas on August 20.

Bei Bei will be one year old on August 22.
