Like last week, Metrorail riders should expect to wait up to 20 minutes for some trains this weekend.
Unless you’ve already given up on the Red Line completely, here’s a reminder that you’ll have to make provisions because SafeTrack surge 10 has shut down Rhode Island Avenue and Brookland stations. And the Red Line is running in two segments—between Shady Grove & NoMa-Gallaudet every 12 to 15 minutes, and between Fort Totten & Glenmont every 15 minutes. WMATA suggests taking shuttle buses, and Green and Yellow Lines trains as Metro detour options.
Meanwhile, Orange, Silver and Blue Line trains will operate every 20 minutes, and Yellow and Green Line trains will operate every 16 minutes.
