A Metrobus was involved in a crash near Howard University this morning that has left multiple people injured.
Metro spokesperson Sherri Ly told DCist that a car traveling to the left of the 79 bus attempted to make a right turn, “causing the bus to make contact” with the vehicle.
The crash took place near Georgia Avenue and Bryant Streets NW around 11:40 a.m., according to D.C. police spokesperson Aquita Brown.
Five adults and two children were taken a nearby hospital with minor injuries, said D.C. Fire and EMS spokesperson Vito Maggiolo. D.C. police are investigating the incident.
