Update: Argent will officially open its doors at its 1921 8th St NW location on August 9.

The hours will be noon through 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Original: New signs went up today at the windows of a storefront on the corner of Florida Avenue and 8th Street NW for a new clothing boutique that pledges to revolutionize women’s work attire.

Argent Work will take over the space at the development The Shay vacated by Kit and Ace, a luxury clothing store that shuttered all of its physical locations in the U.S., U.K., and Australia in late April.

“Argent was founded on the radical notion that women are ambitious and also like clothes,” reads the website. But to take part in this “radical” idea, a woman also needs to shell out more than $300 for a blazer.

The clothing brand launched last May, and currently has a summer-long pop-up at The Shay (located on the second floor of 1931 9th Street NW).

Argent joins a bevy of high-end retailers flocking to the neighborhood as part of developer JBG’s so-called “place-making,” wherein they “curate” tenants their two large-scale developments near where Florida Avenue becomes U Street in Northwest. JBG’s attempts to rebrand the area “North End Shaw,” however, have been met with some resistance.

A spokesperson for Argent says the new store is hoping to open its doors in mid-July.
