Boat noodle soup is one of the ramen bowls coming to D.C. as part of a joint pop-up between Toki Underground and Toh Roong.

Toki Underground

As summer winds down, the week ahead brings a host of options, including a goodbye summer dinner at Chloe, a noodle pop-up at Toki Underground, more beer than you’ll ever need at DC Beer Week, and a crustacean celebration at Fish by José Andrés.

Kicking the keg
D.C. Beer Week began Sunday, but there are still plenty of events on tap for the eight-day festival ending Sept. 15. One of them, the fifth-annual D.C. Beer Royale, jumps off Wednesday at Roofers Union with seven D.C. breweries vying to see whose drinkers “kick the keg” first. The winning brewery scores city bragging rights and a $400 prize for their favorite charity—participating breweries are 3 Stars, D.C. Brau, Atlas Brew Works, Bluejacket, Red Bear Brewing Co., Right Proper Brewing Company, and Hellbender Brewing Company. (2446 18th St NW, Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., free entry)

Oysters away
Shuck, slurp, and swallow oysters to your heart’s content during the Legal Sea Foods’ 11th annual Oyster Festival, running Thursday through Oct. 9 at two of the chains local eateries. You’ll have different types to choose from, like raw, buffalo style, Sriracha lime, and more. Wash them all down with Deadrise, the festival’s official cocktail that’s mixed with vodka, muddled cucumber, lime, and grapefruit bitters. (704 7th St. NW in D.C. and 320 23rd Street South in Crystal City, Thursday-Oct. 9, a la carte)

Om your way to the Champagne bar
CorePower Yoga has teamed up with the Conrad Hotel to hold an hour-long yoga class Saturday on the hotel’s rooftop, which opens with a juice shot and closes with brunch bites and a complimentary glass of Moët Champagne. Look forward to avocado toast, caramel apple parfait, a deconstructed banana bread, and more from Joshua Murray, the hotel’s executive chef. After brunch, head to the bar for more bubbly—a portion of the proceeds support Yoga Foster, which makes yoga accessible to elementary schools. (950 New York Ave NW, Saturday, 10:30 a.m., $40)

Speed sipping
Come thirsty to the sixth-annual Brewers on the Block on Saturday, where more than 40 local brewers will slinging their beer at Suburbia. General admission includes unlimited tastings, chats with local brewers, a souvenir tasting glass, and live music starting at 3 p.m. If you spring for the VIP ticket, you’ll get in an hour early and score special beers and hoptails (beer cocktails). (1309 5th St NE, Saturday, 2 p.m.-6 p.m., $55-$75)

Dogs can come too
We didn’t forget about your furry friends for D.C. Beer Week. Bring your dog Sunday to the third-annual Barks & Brews Festival where you’ll enjoy unlimited beer, live music, and free cheese while your pooch gets dog biscuits from Bread Furst. The event’s proceeds go to Van Ness Main Street, which supports the Van Ness neighborhood. (4339 Connecticut Ave NW, Sunday, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., tickets $30-$35, non-beer drinkers get in free)

Toki Underground pops up above ground
Toki Underground is teaming up with noodle pop up Toh Roong Sunday to throw a spicy Thai noodle event at the ramen shop. Slurp up all the noodles while chatting with Toki’s general manager Olivier Caillabet and Kitima Boonmala, chef and founder of Toh Roong. Expect boat noodle soup, red curry with kabocha (a type of pumpkin), beignets with coconut custard and more. (1234 H St NE, Sunday, dinner reservations begin at 5 p.m., a la carte)

Fall in love with Selena
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Dos Mamis cocktail bar on Monday with a screening of Selena, in which Jennifer Lopez plays the legendary, 90s-era Queen of Tejano. The price of a ticket includes one beverage and popcorn; additional candy bars, nachos, soft serve, choripan sandwiches, and drink specials are also available for purchase. (819 Upshur St NW, Monday, 7 p.m., $20 for a chair at the bar, $25 for a table seat)

Celebrating crustaceans with a side of Spain
Get your mallets ready for the Crab Festival at Fish by José Andrés through Sept. 22. Try menu specials on the patio like steamed Maryland crabs and tempura soft shell served up by the half-dozen, dozen, or all-you-can-eat. If crab’s not your thing, there’s always shrimp, lobster, grilled corn, and more. The eatery will also show off Trabanco cider from Asturias, Spain —you’ll catch in a glass when it shoots out of the barrel. (MGM National Harbor, 101 MGM National Ave, Oxon Hill, MD, through Sept. 22, a la carte or $125 for the all-you-can-eat crab feast)

Sneak peek: Summer’s last hurrah
Tickets are now available for the “Say Goodbye to Summer” garden dinner that Michelin-starred restaurant Chloe is throwing on September 18. Chef Haidar Karoum serves up a four-course feast on the patio (weather permitting). Dinner starts with chilled Persian cucumber soup, before moving to heirloom tomatoes served with brioche, aioli, buttercrunch lettuce and smoked mushrooms, and ending with dessert. (1331 4th St SE, Sept. 18, 6 p.m., $80 plus tax and gratuity, $35 more for drinks and optional beverage pairing)
