The bridge, which carries I-66 traffic between Arlington County and D.C., will have three of its seven lanes closed for the next four months.

The plan aims to avoid the confusion for many drivers over lane changes during morning and evening rush hours, and will add one-way protected bike lanes in both directions.

The finalized plans include opening some streets in the intersection up to two-way traffic and building a number of protected bike lanes.

The city wants input from riders, especially those in Ward 7.

The bikes can be parked at either Capital Bikeshare stations or public bike racks.

Starting this summer.

Members have taken 8.4 million rides since Capital Bikeshare launched in 2010.
