Love them or hate them, large-scale snowball fights have become a fixture of D.C. snowstorms over the past few years.
Snowzilla Snowball Sunday Showdown, one of several organized battles that took place in the city today, went down at noon.
Tomorrow at Dupont Circle, at 11 a.m.
Between one to three inches of snow have accumulated in D.C., but the storm isn’t over yet.

Welp, D.C. didn’t get that much snow. So much for that Dupont Circle snowball fight.
Well, you kind of knew that this news would be coming, didn’t you? In what has become somewhat of a Washington wintertime tradition, a mass snowball fight has been scheduled to take place inside Dupont Circle at 8 p.m. tonight.

Don’t Bring a Peep to a Snowball Fight
Choire Sicha has this exactly right. The Washington Post chose an intricate Peep diorama based on the movie Up for the winning entry in its annual Easter contest, but the paper chose the wrong entry. “Snowpeepalype” is the one to beat. This diorama captures all the sound and fury of the event upon which it is based.
