It’s been a busy day for crime and justice news. A quick roundup …
The Post notes that a charter bus was stolen from South Capitol Street, but was found later in Prince George’s County.
Also three Colorado teenagers have been arrested on drug, weapons and illegal possession of fireworks charges when they drove their recreational vehicle into a restricted traffic zone near the White House. When security officials stopped the vehicle at 17th and C streets, they found “a half-pound of marijuana, an unregistered shotgun, unregistered ammunition and a cache of illegal fireworks” the Post reports.
Two brothers have pled guilty to the shooting of an eight-year-old girl in Northeast. D.C. police say that one of the brothers fired at a group of people who they thought had been involved in an earlier argument. But the bullet hit Chelsea Cromartie in the head, killing her and sparking outrage.
According to the Post, a two-year undercover operation in Fairfax County just broke up an offshoot of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang in eastern Virginia and southern Maryland.
Police said gangs such as Hells Angels and their affiliates are far better organized and more “business-oriented” than their younger, Los Angeles-based counterparts in gangs such as Mara Salvatrucha and South Side Locos.

Elsewhere in Virginia, the teenage son of an Alexandria city council member was found guilty in the egging of the house of an activist who was trying to have his mother removed from office.
And also in the Commonwealth, a 13-year old has admitted to planning a Columbine-style school shooting in Manassas in June, but was caught by a school administrator loading weapons in a bathroom.
