Metro announced yesterday opening dates for three new stations currently under construction. On the Red Line, the New York Avenue-Florida Avenue-Gallaudet University stop will open Nov. 20. On the Blue Line, the Largo Town Center and Morgan Boulevard stations will open Dec. 18.

In their story about the announcement, the Post noted that

After Metro added five stations to the Green Line in 2001, ridership far exceeded estimates, causing major crowding. … Metro is confident that the three new stations won’t create a similar problem before 48 new rail cars arrive next year.
