How to navigate around the mess: Going to Tenleytown or farther north on the Red Line? Consider taking the 30-series buses through Georgetown. They can be picked up in the Farragut Square area on I Street. Or take the H-buses from Columbia Heights on the Green Line across town to Van Ness or Tenleytown. Or take the N-buses up Massachusetts and Western avenues to Friendship Heights from Dupont Circle or downtown.
