Metrobus Riders to Also Ride Free: WMATA’s board has announced bus riders will also ride free during the Dec. 16 promotion by financial company ING Direct. On that day all bus and rail riders in the WMATA system between 5:00 and 9:30 a.m. will ride for free. Adding buses to the deal cost ING around $89,500, according to the Post.
National Menorah to Be Lit: The 32-foot National Hanukkah Menorah will be lit Tuesday at a ticketed event where “those attending will be offered free hot Hanukkah latkes, doughnuts, menorah kits and dreidels.”
