We hope you had a good weekend. This photo was taken at Meridian Hill Park, looking south from a stairway leading to 16th Street. Or should we say Malcolm X Park?

(Meridian Hill Park was once rechristened as Malcolm X Park. While that name is still in use, do you think the gentrification and development in the surrounding neighborhoods will eventually cause the Malcolm X name to disappear? Feel free to post your thoughts in comments.)

A 10-minute walk to the north and east of this spot, the Tivoli theater re-opened on 14th Street this weekend. Using the reopening as a lead-in, the Post explores the re-emergence of Columbia Heights and the next phase of recharging the once-riot scarred 14th Street commercial corridor.

Anyhow … a lot happened last week on DCist:
— Pesky bloggers say C.J. Cregg is a lesbian! But she has a new boyfriend!
— To Marion Barry, Councilman Barry is still Mayor Barry
— Phantom highway: Where is Route 29? (If you said Dupont Circle, D.C. has deceived you.)
— Market Lunch has stopped weekend breakfast.
— With Miss Beazley, Barney gets housemate.
