Love documentary film? If so, you’re in luck. The National Archives has teamed up with the Guggenheim Center for the Documentary Film and the Academy of Motion Picture to present all of the 2005 Oscar-nominated documentaries and short films for free in their William G. McGowan Theater.

The films include “The Story of the Weeping Camel,” “Tupac: Resurrection,” and “Super Size Me,” in addition to a variety of others. The screenings are scheduled for weekday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons between February 23–27. The only catch: you have to make reservations online in advance to reserve a spot.

Film lovers should also keep an eye on the schedule at the Library of Congress’ Mary Pickford Theater which shows a variety of free films year-round, and the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop which presents classic films for $5 through their Films on the Hill program. Also, this spring Provisions Library has planned weekly film screenings of lefty political films 7 p.m. each Wednesday.
