The future prospects of Club U, the U Street Go-Go club which has been closed since authorities pulled their liquor license in February after a murder occurred there, appears dim. The D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Control Board voted yesterday to suspend the club’s liquor license until hearings about whether they should permanently revoke the license in April.

D.C. Council member Jim Graham told the Post the closing was fair, even though several other bars are within three blocks of Club U, because “It’s not about go-go music and neighboring clubs; it’s about this homicide.”
