Panda Fertility Report: After the National Zoo’s panda pair Mei Xiang and Tian Tian “exhibited plenty of breeding behavior but never quite consummated their brief annual fling” Zoo officials stepped in and artificially inseminated Mei Xiang. The Post reports that on last Thursday, the height of their flirtation, the Zoo recorded over 13,000 visitors to their panda cam.
Historians Wary of Nixon Library: The American Library Association and 16 historians have asked Congress to suspend the transfer of Nixon administration records to his California library. The academics wrote their letter after the library cancelled a conference on Nixon and the Vietnam war that was to take place later this spring.
