We told you earlier about the public meetings to examine proposals for the future of Wisconsin Avenue. Now this Saturday, there will be a public gathering to discuss the plans to reshape the New York Avenue corridor. The meeting will be tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at the Reeves Center and U and 14th streets NW.
We haven’t had that much time to look at the electronic version of the city’s report, but you can find it here. But one thing is clear. New York Avenue, a major commuter corridor, unfortunately serves as D.C.’s gateway for travelers from the north and east. Everyone can pretty much agree that there is much improvement to be made along the hardscrabble hodgepodge thoroughfare.
