Restaurant-goers with time on their hands and a penchant for witty, concise commentary can sign up here to register their opinions for the 2007 Washington, D.C./Baltimore Zagat guide. Provided that ratings are submitted by March 12, participants will also receive their own copies, in which their wry assessments may be immortalized in print.
Though DCist relies on DonRockwell.com for most of our food and dining banter, we still like Zagat because it’s concise and old-school — and, well, we like “the quotes.” We’re also curious about which restaurants make the Most Popular, Top Food, Best Buys, and Best Newcomer lists. What’s more, with so many restaurants having opened in the area this year, we’ll be interested to learn whether the reviewer comments will echo the word on the street.
We also hope that the Zagat folks will write about D.C. trends as they do for New York — such as what percentage of reviewers make reservations online and whether restaurants in the ‘burbs are ranked ahead of District restaurants in popularity, food, service, etc.
On which restaurants would you be most likely to comment? And what D.C. dining trends do you think Zagat should include?
