Fish and Chips and Drinks and Fried Mars Bars
After months of waiting, it appears that Eamonn’s, A Dublin Chipper (from the makers of Restaurant Eve) is almost ready to fling its doors open wide to welcome the unfed masses clamoring for fried fish, fried potatoes, and malt vinegar. Originally slated to open on Monday but now scheduled to open within the next two weeks, the place will also feature a bar called “PX” fashioned after a speakeasy and featuring the legendary libations of Eve cocktailier Todd Thrasher.

According to the mom of the ‘monn, the fish and chip shop will serve up delicacies like “a bunless Battered ‘Burgher’ with a secret-recipe batter, Bangers (or sausages), Da Bits (crunchy fried remnants), Fried Mars Bars and Doughnuts.” Sign me up for that. Metrocurean has some more details, as does Don.

And Speaking of Don…
We now join your latest restaurant skewering already in progress. For those of you interested in the politics of food blogs and what diners cum critics can do when they get bees in their bonnets, please take a look at the Don Rockwell thread about Sushi Kappo Kawasaki. Prepare for some colorful language, geoduck porn, and a weird trip down what is evidently one of the worst dining experiences to be had in Washington. Let’s all see what happens next…
