And what’s going on this Thursday morning, Washington? Three Prince George’s County strip clubs are suing to block new rules that are supposed to go into effect today. WJLA reports that they are seeking ‘unspecified damages and recovery of legal fees’ in an effort to avoid new regulations such as performances needing to take place at least six feet away from customers. Ah, just another day in the life of the PG strip club circuit…in other news, the remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto may bring some more wet weather to the area for the start of the Labor Day weekend. Bad timing, no?
Pedestrian Killed near Silver Spring Metro: WJLA reports that a man in his 20s was hit and killed on Colesville Road near East-West Highway. Police are still trying to figure out whether the man was crossing at a crosswalk and whether the driver had a green light. Traffic in both directions of Colesville Road was closed on Wednesday night as police continued their investigation.
Metro Open Late Tonight: If you’re coming back from the Redskins or Nationals game this evening, no worries; Metrorail will be open late to escort you home. It will run until 1a.m., which is an hour later than usual for weekday nights. Additionally, WTOP tells us that pre-and-post game, Metro will operate up to 14 extra trains to serve the Stadium-Armory, Morgan Boulevard, Largo Town Center and Landover stations. Thanks, Metrorail, for not abandoning folks at the games.

This Day in DCist: In 2005, we started rallying folks for the Sept. 15 “DCist is one year old!” birthday bash. In 2004, we talked about District native Chappelle signing a big contract, and started tallying the ‘schrocking’ puns regarding Ed Schrock.
