Six Points is underway! We imparted the general DCist wisdom about the bands participating in the first weekend last week, so we’re doing it again as the festival draws to a close. Have you been to any shows so far? Planning on going to any? What did you think?

Way back in 2005, DCist Tom had this to say about Lejeune: “…it’s the half-surf tones of Matthew Richardson’s clean, delayed hollowbody electric that define the band’s live sound: crisp, loud, and classic. In short, these guys sound like the band your best friend’s cool older brother wouldn’t stop listening to during his first summer home from college.” That still sounds like a damn good way to spend an evening. Lejeune’s on the bill with locals Life in a Hospital, The Glory and The Majesty and Brooklyn’s The Jaguar Club.

It’s a Best of Unbuckled type of night in Arlington, as Middle Distance Runner and These United States are sure to bring as much joy to Iota as they brought to their respective Unbuckled crowds. Hopefully they’ll encourage Pittsburgh’s Black Tie Revue to relax and at least loosen their ties. As we declared in a recent Three Stars piece, MDR is a band we never get tired of. We’ve got pretty significant warm-fuzzy feelings for the other bands on the bill too.
