Photo by aperryproductions. As we all experienced firsthand, D.C. was crowded last weekend: the Stewart/Colbert Rally, Halloween, Howard Homecoming, the Marine Corps Marathon, and random tourists.
But despite the tone of the Rally, judging by what was overheard, rally-goers don’t appear to be that much smarter than, say, Tea Partiers. Plus traffic was abysmal, sidewalks were packed, and Metro was jammed with people. And it must have been tough for those people who had to work.
Overheard of the Week
On the Orange Line to Vienna after the Rally:
Train operator: “Customers please don’t play on the platform, it is a lot of paperwork.”
After the jump, more Halloween and Rally shenanigans, plus other folks saying other stuff. Don’t forget — send in your submissions (including as many details as you can) to overheardindc [at] gmail [dot] com.
