Photo by maxedaperture.MPD reports that a shooting occurred in NE D.C. near the Maryland border early this morning. The victim flagged down an officer in the 4900 block of South Dakota Ave. NE stating he had been shot following a road rage incident.
The victim stated while he was driving on Eastern Avenue on the Maryland side, he and the suspect had cut each other off several times. When they entered D.C. both cars turned onto the 1800 block of Michigan Avenue NE. The suspect pulled up to the victim’s car, rolled down his window, and fired several shots into the victim’s car. The victim was shot at least once, and had non-life threatening injuries. He received treatment at an area hospital and has been released.
