It’s the 8th day of January and Prince George’s County, MD has already had its 8th homicide of the New Year. Police have attributed the uptick in murder to a drug ring, but it is unclear if this homicide is related. Police were called to an apartment building in the 1400 block of University Boulevard in Hyattsville at 8 a.m. Saturday and discovered a man in the parking lot of the apartment building. The man was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
