One local morning sports chatter box was severely dented today. Around 7:45 this morning, a Honda Civic plowed into the offices at 10800 block of Main Street Fairfax, which happens to host the call screeners for 106.7 “The Fan” WJFK’s The Junkies morning sports talk program. Eric Bickel, one of the hosts of the show, has been tweeting up a storm about the accident, saying that he “can’t believe nobody is dead.” (WJLA has more photos, if you’re really desperate to see them.)

Everyone seems to be okay — the driver will be charged with reckless driving, but was otherwise unhurt — and neither the unending blather nor the shameless self-promotion all talk jocks specialise in were interrupted.
