It’s certainly the calm before the storm right now, but what a storm it will be. WJLA reports that we’ll have some pretty nasty weather coming our way between 6 p.m. and midnight:
Strong winds and hail will be likely features of the stronger storms along with periods of heavy rain. Flash flooding may be an issue later this afternoon and into the evening hours. Mid and upper level atmospheric dynamics will also support formation of isolated tornadoes.
So if you’ve got plans for a baseball game or Jazz in the Garden, it might be best to plan for indoor alternatives.
