The U.S. military is ready for many contingencies, but are the armed forces prepared to defend the capital from a horde of angry giants? Not just yet.
In preparation for the presidential inauguration, the military has laid down a 60-by-40-foot map on the floor of the D.C. Armory, including the city’s most prominent landmarks: the White House, U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument. While officials say that the map is being used to plan for the January 21 festivities, it could just as well be used to ready our defenses against those giants that threaten our way of life.
As pictured above, though, it seems that we’re a ways away from being safe from most giants: this one made it all the way to the White House, and they even let him crush the East Wing.
