Two weeks worth of early voting for the April 23 At-Large Special Election kick off today.
If you’ve decided which of the six contenders for the At-Large seat on the D.C. Council you’re backing or merely want to a cast a ballot in favor of (or against) amending the Home Rule Charter to give D.C. official more control of locally raised funds, you can head to the Old Council Chambers at One Judiciary Square (441 4th Street NW) from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early voting continues through April 20, though the voting center will be closed on April 14 and April 16.
Still undecided in what’s been a relatively low-key race? Tune in to WAMU 88.5 today at noon, where the six contenders—Elissa Silverman, Pat Mara, Paul Zukerberg, Anita Bonds, Perry Redd, and Matthew Frumin—will debate on The Kojo Nnamdi Show.
If that’s not enough, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of the Current, which published a very useful and comprehensive Voter’s Guide. We’ll have our own Voter’s Guide up in the next few days.
