One person is dead and three are injured after a shooting in the 100 block of Pierce Street NW.

A Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson said the shooting happened just before midnight Wednesday. The three injured adults, who all suffered gunshot wounds, are in stable condition.

No description of a suspect or suspects was available.

Police told NBC4 the men were playing dice when the shooting occurred. Tyler House, a low-income apartment complex, is located two blocks from Wednesday’s shooting and was the site of a shooting in March that left 13 people injured. According to the MPD’s crime statistics, that block has seen 37 incidents of violent crime in the past year.
