Bao Bao has got a one-way ticket out of Washington, and the Panda Express departs this afternoon.

The National Zoo kicked off its goodbye celebrations on Thursday by offering dumplings to visitors, followed by a series of other treats for both panda and panda fans over the weekend. But the time has come for her to leave her habitat, and you can watch live on Facebook:

Bao Bao took her last few tumbles in the yard this morning, once again blissfully unaware of the media circus surrounding her. Later today, she’ll board a customized FedEx plane with a veterinarian and handler for the 16-hour journey to Chengdu, China.

“Today is bittersweet,” said Dennis Kelly, the Zoo’s director, in a statement. “We’ve watched Bao Bao grow up during the past three years, and she has charmed people all over the world with her independent and playful personality.”

Tune back in to the Zoo’s Facebook page at 1:30 p.m. to see the next stage of her journey at Dulles airport. This post has been updated.
