Crackdown at Club U: After a murder last weekend near the popular U Street go-go club, authorities have pulled the club’s liquor license. The Post reports on the developments and some of the crimes critics say are connected to the club, including 3 homicides since 2003.

Arrested U Md. Students Could be Expelled: The University of Maryland has announced they will expel any students arrested last weekend during celebrations after their basketball team’s victory over Duke, if they are convicted of a violent crime.

Traffic Fatalities Down: Traffic deaths in the District were down last year, reaching the “lowest number of traffic fatalities in the 18 years that complete statistics have been compiled.” There were 69 traffic deaths in 2003, but only 45 in 2004.
