Good news D.C. Unlike last weekend, we’ll only have to suffer through this rain today; Saturday will be dry and Sunday will be beautiful. Awesome.

FRIDAY:
>> We hear some big movie opened this week, with “lazer swords” and some dude wearing a black hat. What was it called again? Eh, who cares — especially when you can watch “Napoleon Dynamite” again on the big screen. The Landmark E St.’s Midnight Movies bring pretty much the sweetest movie ever back to theaters tonight. $6.

>> DJ Olli is back in D.C. for a brief time, bringing his crate of wax to take on Will Eastman at the first ever Bliss vs. Panic at the Black Cat tonight. No matter the winner, we’re sure spectators will come out of the Cat sweaty from a night of dancing to indie rock, new wave, punk, and electro. 10 p.m., $8

SATURDAY:
>> The Kennedy Center’s group of young benefactors, NSOvation, host “A Quartet Under the Stars” tonight on the rooftop terrace of the Kennedy Center. Luckily, its not supposed to rain — moisture is murder on violins, not to mention cocktail dresses. 6:30-8:30 p.m. $45 for members, $55 for nonmembers. Contact Ben Aspero at benaspero (at) hotmail (dot) com for more information.

>> The rockfish population this year has bounced back, though the prognosis for the species’ future is mixed. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy the Chesapeake Bay delicacy, perfect when paired with blue crabs. Don’t know how to prepare them? TasteDC offers a class today on learning to cook with the Bay’s bounty. noon-2:30 p.m., $55.

>> Tickets are still available to see Velvet Revolver tonight at Merriweather. While some still hold their breath for Chinese Democracy (guys, its been a really long time and you’re starting to turn blue), VR are sure to please Guns’n’Roses fans by playing classics like “It’s So Easy” and “Mr. Brownstone.” 8 PM. $45 for seats, $35 for the lawn.

SUNDAY:
>> End your weekend artistically by checking out the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival. The festival takes place at Reston Town Center and features over 180 artists from all over the country. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Suggested donation $5.

>> Vanessa Redgrave makes her debut on a Washington stage in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Euripides’ Hecuba. Human sacrifice? Murder? Man’s inhumanity to man? Yeah, its got that. 1:30 p.m., $25-$78.
