Retired Veterans Sue Rumsfeld: Some of the residents of the Armed Forces Retirement Home have filed a class action lawsuit against Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, alleging he has made illegal cuts in medical and dental services at the home, the Examiner reports.
Shopping Rage in Montgomery County: According to the Post, two people were stabbed in a department store at a Montgomery County mall yesterday, apparently at random. The 48-year-old suspect was apprehended by an off-duty FBI agent, and the two victims are in the hospital. One eyewitness told the newspaper “it’s very weird to go out, buy a pair of shoes and all of sudden, all hell breaks loose.”
‘Most Endangered’ List Released: The D.C. Preservation League has release their updated list of endangered historic places in the District, the Common Denominator reports. The only newcomer to the list is Mount Vernon Triangle, the area east of Mount Vernon Square.
